Bio:
For the past five years, high-energy Israeli rock band Trademark has been making its mark - not only on home territory, but also in the UK. The band - Dan Naveh (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Roy Halevy (backing vocals, lead guitar), Yali Koren (backing vocals, bass) and Noam Greidy (drums) – has built an impressive and loyal following since their first show at Tel Aviv’s famous Pathiphone Club (‘record player’ in Hebrew), which became the band’s home club until it's closing in 2007. For many bands, a three year gap while the guys fulfilled their Israeli Defence Force obligations might have spelled the end. But not for this dedicated foursome, who in 2010 coordinated their leave to fund a trip to the UK – and a week to record their first album, ‘Future Analogue’ with Nick Brine (Oasis, Ash, Arctic Monkeys, Stereophonics, The Darkness, Steve Harley) at Leeders Farm recording studios in Norfolk (UK). While working at Leeders, Nick’s business partner, former Darkness guitarist Dan Hawkins, arrived unexpectedly, loved what he heard and in the week that followed, while Nick and his team got busy on the mixes at the legendary Rockfield Studios, again arrived unexpectedly, this time to see the band live. Straight after recording, Trademark took their powerhouse of a live sound out on the road, for a mini-Tour of the UK that won new friends and fans up and down the country - and even fitting in a radio interview or two in their final week before returning to Israel and their IDF duties. Over the years, the band had played all over Israel, packing their own shows and supporting bands like Useless ID and Man Alive, as well as international acts including MXPX. Heavily influenced by Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Beck to name a few, the band’s debut album has been described as ‘an instant hard rock classic’ with ‘swagger and finesse’ (David Brinn, The Jerusalem Post).
