Bio:: Safe For Consumption had its inception in August, 2010. It is the brainchild of Rick Bevard (pianist / synth) and his collaborations with Jason Jones.(drummer) Kristen Bevard contributes her beautiful harmonies as well. Rick and Jason bridge diverse backgrounds that range from prison ministry to blues, funk, and metal bands respectively. Since keys are often overshadowed in a conventional band, 'Safe For Consumption' has chosen to highlight them. Guitars and many other instruments make an appearance in our work. They just don't take over. We'll rock you all the same. The focus of God and guidance remain central and constant. Our lyrics range from light and fun to sardonic and dark, like our lives. We relate because we are honest and relevant to today's society. While 'Safe For Consumption' does not claim to be a "Christian Band" it is comprised of Christians and undertones can be easily detected throughout our content. With so much to be wary of in this ever-changing world, 'Safe For Consumption' defines itself through solidity, while remaining indefinable in other ways.
